Historical Society receives grant to help develop the Mill Museum

We are pleased to announce the Bucksport Historical Society has received a $10,000 grant from the Belvedere Historical Preservation Fund (Downeast) of the Maine Community Foundation (MaineCF). These funds will aid in the development of the Bucksport Paper Mill Museum. The funds were granted through the 2025 Community Building grant program.

Thank you to the Maine Community Foundation for providing this financial support which will aid our efforts to convert the former mill gatehouse building into the Bucksport Paper Mill Museum. The museum will educate visitors about the history of the mill, share information about the papermaking industry, and honor the many men and women who worked at the mill during its 84 years of operation.
