The Bucksport Historical Society is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization established in 1967. The organization is the owner of two museums located in Bucksport, Maine.

The Bucksport Paper Mill Museum was acquired in 2023. It is located at 4 Mariner Way in what was the gatehouse for a paper mill built in 1930 which closed in 2014. The museum is open Tuesday mornings, 8am-noon, through November 25, 2025. We will share updated hours in 2026.

The Bucksport Historical Museum was acquired in 1965 and is located at 92 Main Street in an 1874 Railroad Station which is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is open from June 15 to Sept. 13 Thursday and Friday from 1pm - 4pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 1pm.
